Fox cubs (kits)

I finally got my first glimpse of the fox cubs (kits) tonight. :-)

There were three of them cavorting at the back of the garden, still
with their dusky grey/black coats. They seemed pretty much unaware of
the flashlight or camera flash.

Tiny little things they are (we didn't see any last year until they
were quite a bit older). I didn't venture too close, but did manage
one very dark photo which is over on my blog.

Meanwhile the vixen, who we've been treating for mange, is recovering
well. She's getting her coat back, and is obviously pretty busy
gathering food for her brood.

All in all, it's made it a great Easter weekend.

Well they had roast chicken last night. Will that do? ;-)

Got a fab pic over on my blog from tonight of a cub. Had to up the
gamma and sharpen it a bit, but I'm well chuffed.
